Born in Australia to Afghan refugees, Bobuq Sayed (they/them) is a writer, artist and editor currently based in Miami. They were shortlisted for the inaugural Liminal Fiction prize, highly commended in the Wheeler Center’s Next Chapter scheme for emerging writers and they are the 2019 guest editor of Un Magazine volume 13 on art, terrorism, and neoliberalism. Bobuq’s work has been published, performed, and exhibited widely, in such places as The Rumpus and The Lifted Brow. They tweet @bobuqsayed.
